Ganesh Chaturthi is one perfect occasion when dressing up your fashion best is a must. It not only includes keeping up with the traditions but also dressing up to dazzle the family gatherings. As the 10-day-long festival commenced today, our favourite celebrities painted the B-town in festive colours. While many celebs were captured bringing Bappa home amid much pomp and fervour, others shared pictures from their intimate celebrations on social media. From Kartik Aaryan to Sara Ali Khan, the Bollywood stars went for safe and classic bets as they stepped out in striking ethnic wear. Starting with Ananya Panday. The Dream Girl 2 actress wore a beautiful pink anarkali, adorned with delightful floral prints. The sleeveless ensemble featured pastel blue borders around the neckline. The pink and blue pastel hues echoed in her matching dupatta. Ananya's hair was elegantly styled in a bun. She opted for a no-makeup makeup look. From the accessory department, Ananya wore pearl drop earrings.
Switching our attention from one young star to another, Sara Ali Khan radiated vibrance in a bright yellow kurta set. The flared sleeves of her kurta came with vibrant embroidery running along the borders. She paired the kurta with matching pants and carried a lightweight dupatta, gracefully draped on her shoulders. Sara left her middle-parted hair open.
Shilpa Shetty, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Sukhee, embraced the traditional spirit in an elegant saree. Her pre-draped white drape was beautifully accented with orange and yellow tassels along the borders. Underneath, she wore an embroidered blouse. Shilpa adorned herself with traditional jewellery, and her makeup was on point with a dewy base, glossy lips, mascara-coated lashes, and kohl-rimmed eyes.
Bollywood's heartthrob Kartik Aaryan also paid a visit to Lal Baughcha Raja. His attire was a perfect blend of simplicity and style. The actor opted for a classic button-down red kurta, which was balanced out with white bottoms.
B-town's power couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani took the ethnic route, as they attended the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Manish Malhotra's residence. While the actor slipped into a white kurta and pyjama, Kiara wore in a garara set.
Malaika Arora channelled her inner diva and opted for a zesty co-ord set. The two-piece set featured a V-neck Kaftan atop a matching skirt. Leaving her hair open, the B-Town fashionista accessorised her look with oxidised jewellery.
Draped in a gorgeous silk mint green saree, Pooja Hegde styled her six yards with a sleeveless strappy blouse. The actress created a stunning case of contrast, as she paired her drape with an off-white strappy blouse. Middle parted low bun with golden jhumkas were the final touch.
Just a few of the celebratory looks from the celebration today. Which are your favourites?
